Linus – Week 14
Linus started off his 14th week with a Google Hangout with Grandma and Grandpa. He was mostly interested in watching the tiny video in the corner of the screen that reflected back his face, but it was still a successful chat. Yen documented it with a few photos.
Ok, so maybe he wasn’t completely riveted. He’s too young to understand rudeness!
As usual, Yen has captured lots of photos of Linus on his mat. One day we’ll be able to make a montage of him aging by collecting these and stringing them together in a time lapse.
We’ve placed a little mirror near his mat for tummy time and so we can see what faces he’s making while he sits on our laps. Sometimes it captures very funny faces. And the occasional spit bubble.
Linus is definitely learning about how to be a charmer. It’s not hard with those eyes.
Still a lot of sleep this week. It’s hard work being a baby!
Yen is still capturing their mornings with selfies in the bathroom mirror. I’m so jealous of these mornings! Linus is always in such a good mood in the morning – like his mommy.
There is a lot more laughing this week, though really it’s still just a chuckle. I am hanging on for the big belly laugh that I know is coming one day. Sometimes he even laughs when you tickle his arm pit, but it’s not regular yet. Then you get the strangest look. “Why would you touch me there? That’s just weird.”
He’s very friendly with his new friend, Sophie. Sometimes she stands in for the pacifier when it’s not right at hand.
Poor Linus. The weather has finally turned, and he’s not able to go outside regularly anymore. We still bundle up on weekends, but on weeknights, he’s trapped inside. Here we are both looking longingly outside at the cold sunshine.
Yen has introduced him to some Vietnamese cartoons.
Here he is enjoying a little outing. This was at Harold Parker State Forest. Yen picked up 71 bottles and cans on this walk!
