Linus – Week 13
Look at that wingspan! He’s getting bigger all the time.
New this week: cuddly. Oh, Linus has always been a cuddly baby. But this week he has been particularly cuddly. It seems as if a cuddle when he’s fussy is actually more effective than nursing now. We won’t use the word “clingy,” because that implies it’s not a totally welcome development.
I love this one. I’ve mentioned before that he likes to keep his hands politely folded together. Here he’s even doing it in his sleep! Of course there’s the alternate explanation that Mom pointed out: “Turn out that light!”
Here’s the morning photo of the baby and the cha! I love that they’re both making funny faces. I’m so jealous that Yen gets all of these mornings with Linus. I think they’re going to have a very special relationship as a result.
The weather turned colder this week. Here ba hai and Linus are looking longingly outside.
Here’s co ba along with ba tu, who visited this week from Paris. Linus was so excited to finally meet her.
For Halloween, we were excited to find a costume in one of the hand-me-down bags we received. At first we thought it was a dragon, but after he put it on, we thought maybe it was a dinosaur. Either way, it looked pretty funny when he wore it during dinner.
Here we’re headed downstairs to go outside and visit the neighbors. He’s not quite up for trick-or-treating yet (mostly because it didn’t start until 6pm, which is awfully close to the getting-ready-for-bedtime hour), but we did want to visit a people we’re particularly friendly with.
Here’s Linus with Taylor, who is is favorite babysitter (non-family babysitter, I mean!). That’s her dad, John, in the background.
Carley is Taylor’s mom. Taylor insists that Carley is only the assistant during babysitting.
“Can I take this off already?!”
The day after Halloween, we had Ruby Trinh’s birthday party. Linus put on his party outfit. Unfortunately soon after, he did a giant poop in his party outfit, and both he and Yen had to strip down so we could wash clothes. But it was all good in the end.
This picture makes me laugh so hard. All I can think is, “Yo.”
Ba noi is headed to Las Vegas for a couple of weeks. Linus is going to miss her so much!
