Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge
This walk is our standard one when we don’t have time to go very far – usually we tackle it close to sunset when we have just a little more energy left and need to get it out. It’s only about 15 minutes from our house, after all.
Once again, I’m looking for frogs, turtles, muskrats, and other beasties.
Yen looks the same while I swell up like a pumpkin. I imagine he’ll carry on looking the same when we’re 80.
High point of the day? Tons of huge fish hanging around, moving between the main lake and the flooded areas in the woods. Yen got a video, but I haven’t figured out how to post it yet.
