We sure have! They’re very nice people. But they have 13-year-old triplets and a bonus 9(?) year old, so you can well imagine it’s always full of kids. Besides: I definitely don’t have a lot of interest in my neighbors seeing me in a bathing suit.

Three kinds of peppers, four kinds of tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, radicchio, basil, oregano, and cabbage.

He did! It didn’t take very long once we settled on the dimensions. The guys at Home Depot convinced us to stain them, which was possibly unnecessary. It does make them look nice, though.

No, they’re filled with completely new soil. We bought nice new soil (we have way too much left over – what do we do with it?!), then mixed in peat and compost.

Yep, that’s landscaping fabric poking out the sides so weeds can’t push through underneath. We’ve ordered mulch to put all around everything.

Um, yeah. So, the landscaper came by yesterday to apply more hydroseed. I think it’s probably just a lost cause at this point. That’s why we put in so many beds: we’d rather use the space for something than tilt at the windmill of a perfect lawn.

Yes, so tired! Being a suburanite is exhausting!
