Mina and I have a little bedtime routine. Every night after Cha and I both sing to her, I come back into her bedroom and make a whispered announcement. Something like:
I just found out that 100 hummingbirds are about to fly over your bed!
Every night I change the animal and vary the number. She asks me questions to set the mood.
Is it summer? And I’m outside? And I can feel the warm sun while they fly by?
And then I kiss her again and she counts them to sleep.
