March 2 – 27, 2018
As usual, Yen needed to clear off his camera before vacation. Lots of close ups this month of their sweet little faces.
I think I’ve mentioned before that Linus is obsessed with his Snap Circuits Junior board. I thought Yen was crazy when he bought it, as it’s for ages 8 and up. But Linus knows just what to do. Although often his work is more sculpture than working circuit.
That tongue always pokes out when he’s concentrating. I recently noticed I do the same thing while weightlifting!
Noodle party at our house! Always.
Some of the closeups I mentioned. Handsome Nana!
Dreaming of dissecting this blender… The other night before bed, Linus told me, “You start with avocadoes, you smash them all up, and you get sinh tố bơ!” Right you are, sir.
I think she’s pretending to have long, flowing, blonde hair. Whenever we read a book, Mina points to the little blonde girls and says, “Mina!” I suppose everyone wants what they don’t have. When I was little, I wanted dark hair and dark eyes.
We had a crazy surprise storm a couple of weeks ago. It was incredibly wet and simply clung to everything, even our little spinner in the yard. Lots and lots of trees down, as you can imagine.
After we came in from shoveling the snow, Mina declared War on pants. And shirts. But wouldn’t let me take the socks off.
Then we soon got additional snow and had to go back out again.
More close-ups! Check out those pearly whites! Linus had his second dentist appointment recently. He got thumbs up from the dentist, and has started flossing each night. Which means Mina wants to floss too.
This is a coat and hat set that I got for Ruby back when she was a teeny but fashionable girl. I think Mina is carrying it off just as well.
And… more snow! We got more snow in March than in the rest of winter. These robins aren’t happy at all about it, and they’ve taken to sitting on our front steps, pooping out their displeasure. Gross.
In an earlier post, I shared some videos from the Peabody-Essex Museum. Here are a few photos from the same visit.
You’ll remember that we were in a room filled with pink balloons. Just try not to be happy in there.
And the next day, we celebrated my birthday! I think Linus was the most excited of all of us. He and Mina helped me with the candles.
Linus’s latest obession is this roller coaster set. Sculptures, all day long. Never mind whether the little marble can travel the path.
Mina has started collecting her treasures on a particular window sill – her idea. I love to check each day to see what she’s put there.
And then… At last we decided that Mina shouldn’t have to constantly brush hair out of her eyes. I think bangs suit her, don’t you?
