November 27 – December 3, 2017
Last post before vacation! It’s a short one, but Yen wisely wanted to clear his memory card before we set out.
We begin with what looks like a rather unfriendly confrontation.
It’s not torture, though – I promise. Just watch:
In fact, the affection continues even as they roam about the house exploring the humidifiers in each bedroom. I promise that we do occasionally wear pants in our house. Or at least we’ll put some on before you come over.
I keep a Kleenex in my bra most of the time – that way I can wipe a nose whether I have a pocket or not. Mina has started storing them in her shirt too.
By the way, in case you’re wondering what the little circle is on the wall: it’s a stopper to keep the cabinet handle from making a mark on the wall. You know, if someone slams it…
Mina has a very unique sense of fashion. She’s very concerned with accessorizing, and often asks for a wardrobe change after dinner – even if her clothes don’t have food on them.
As you can see here, the placement of the panda mask is extremely specific.
My little GQ cub out for a winter walk.
This visit was to Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. We saw 7 bluebirds! No idea what they were doing hanging around in the cold.
The kids love this little jetty that sticks out into the pond. We don’t have a photo, but Linus actually crawled the entire length on the rails – feet never touching the floor.
The next morning we visited the park with Co Ba.
Linus bravely climbed the steps to this huge slide – I was so proud of him! Of course you’ll see there was nothing to be frightened of. Not pictured: me sliding down after him. I was a little faster…
Mina spent the entire visit coaxing Co Ba to push her higher and higher.
A little more affection for you before we head out.
And a full minute and a half of Mina laughing while I dance behind the camera.
