Linus had a lot of adventures during these weeks!
First up, he’s really mastering walking. In this series, you can see him toddling over to Ba Noi. He’s obviously very proud of himself – and should be!
We’re working with him on brushing his teeth. He doesn’t really like it very much. It is a rather weird thing to do if you think about it. The most effective technique we’ve found so far is to let him see us brushing before we turn the brush on him. The only problem with that is Yen and I both use electric toothbrushes. He’s not quite ready for that.
Still reading Moby Dick. “Better to sail with a moody good captain than a laughing bad one.”
We went to the zoo again – the weather is just too nice to resist.
Even this goat was enjoying the weather.
Here’s Linus trying (and failing) to pet one of the baby pygmy goats.
While we watched, this bear ran across his paddock and jumped into the tree. It was very dramatic. Linus was too focused on the sparrows inside the cage to care. He’s become such an avid bird watcher.
“This darn radio! It never plays anything good!”
Ba Noi is such a champ! Linus has pooped on his potty every single day for the last month. He doesn’t yet alert us – that’s an advanced move, I think. But we have learned the signs. And when we put him up there, he laughs and plays until the action starts. Then it’s all business!
Lounging on the deck.
Here we are on our day in the city. We went to visit Yen’s friends Chi and Neel. They took us for a nice walk in their neighborhood.
We checked out this little toddler park.
And then we headed down to the Christian Science church, which has a huge fountain out front. You can see Chi’s dog in the background, having as good a time as Linus. He (Linus) just loved the fountain.
He crawled right inside!
Of course poor Yen had to crawl inside with him.
Linus was exhausted the next day, as you can imagine.
And the next day… Swimming lessons! He was supposed to be in a group lesson, but no one else signed up! Hopefully there will be more kids tonight.
He did such a good job, particularly when the toys came out.
Look at this little fish go!
A couple of videos so you can really see him go.
Our little baby is not a baby anymore. Look at his little boy feet!
And all of those teeth!
