Linus – Weeks 34-37
One again, apologies for hanging onto the weekly report for so long. Linus is so active now that we spend all of our time when he’s awake running around with him. Then I collapse into bed just as soon as he does.
You’re going to see a lot of photos of him sleeping this time. Partly because it’s just so cute we can’t stand it. But some of it is also that he’s so fast now with his crawling that we don’t have time to pause and take a lot of photos. This is one very, very active baby.
Here he is kissing his little bear through the bars of his crib.
During the day, Linus always “walks” into Yen’s office for a visit.
Actually, he just comes in to check out all of the fancy equipment.
Linus had his first coconut curry at a Malaysian restaurant. He loved it.
He really loves his interactive books – flaps to open, things to touch. Good thing we don’t mind reading the same one over and over.
He’s getting very good at standing with his little walker. No walking quite yet, but he’s very good at balancing.
Yay! This is one happy baby. When I go in to get him in the morning, he’s always sitting or standing up, and gets a huge smile when he sees me.
Yep, more teeth are coming. He’s cut one on the top, and it looks like the one next to it will follow soon. He’s really going to town on this frog!
Check out these legs!
Yen has turned the mobile around so Linus can turn it on whenever he wants. Sometimes when I’m lying in bed in the morning, I suddenly hear Bach.
We held a baby shower for our friend Susie (Ruby’s mom), who is expecting a baby in June. Here’s Linus with his friends Eli (on the right, just three weeks older than Linus, but look how big!), and one of the twins, either Mason or Morgan, on the left. I’m sorry, but I have no idea which it is.
Linus was a very gracious host, helping Susie rip the paper off of her presents.
Eli was very excited to see Linus.
So excited, in fact, that he moved in for what seemed to be a kiss.
Linus wasn’t quite ready for that and took off.
Poor Eli can’t crawl yet, so he could only watch as Linus fled.
Of course, Linus came back for more in the end.
After he reached his limit with Eli, Linus returned to opening presents, never mind that they were all already open.
Linus checked out Co Betty’s watch.
Here’s Linus saying hello to one of the twins. He looked for a while, but wasn’t terribly interested.
That afternoon, we decided we needed to get out of the house, so we headed to Concord and Old North Bridge.
There was a lot of flooding from the snow melt.
On the way home, we also checked out a new place to walk. Yen had noticed it years ago on one of his epic bike rides. It looks like a particularly good one for the day when Linus is toddling along with us.
Here Linus is back at home and relaxing. It’s hard being a host!
Now that he can get around easily, Linus just heads over to his toy box any time he likes, and rummages around for something interesting.
It’s also good for helping him stand. He’s very upright now!
I love this picture. This is exactly how I sleep, with one leg tossed over a pillow.
He’s very interested in the vents.
Yep. This is Linus playing with a Linus doll!
I love it when he sleeps with his little tush up in the air.
